Shay Fields | |||
Washington Redskins | Wide Receiver | Rookie Free Agent | Colorado |
Strength: Shay Fields is an experienced, successful receiver against top college competition. Shay Fields has been the go-to guy when his team needs big plays. Shay Fields has the quickness and agility to be a top route runner. Shay Fields makes a lot of difficult catches.
Weakness: Shay Fields is a small receiver. Shay Fields gets handled by good bumps at the line. Shay Fields didn't show much improvement over his college career. Shay Fields has had some trouble with fumbles. Shay Fields is a bit raw as a route runner.
Development: Shay Fields brings a history of consistency and coming through in the clutch. He has good athleticism, good speed, and good hands, but he isn't elite in any of those aspects. He has a lot of work to do on fine tuning his game, so there is plenty of room for technique improvement, but he's never shown himself to be intimidated or unable to handle a challenge. He has a better than average chance of making the practice squad if he makes a few big plays in training camp and the preseason, and he seems to always show up for a few of those.
Fantasy Football Rating: Consistent receiving numbers, without a lot of touchdowns.
Typecast Outlook Opinion: Undersized with a history of production and clutch plays.
