Strength: Ejiro Ederaine has the speed to play any linebacker position in the NFL. Ejiro Ederaine is an experienced 3-4 outside linebacker. Ejiro Ederaine has a reputation as a tough competitor. Ejiro Ederaine is an intelligent football player.
Weakness: Ejiro Ederaine played at a very light weight for a 3-4 outside linebacker. Ejiro Ederaine has a history of injuries, though he has played through them. Ejiro Ederaine has average coverage skills.
Development: Ejiro Ederaine is a bit raw in pass coverage, but showed improvement there over his last season in college. He is a natural outside pass rusher, which is why a move to inside linebacker doesn't seem a likely long-term proposition. He also does an excellent job of getting to running backs behind the line of scrimmage. He probably would have been a second day draft pick if he had been a little bigger and had a clean injury history. He will likely have to show he can put on a little weight without losing a step in order to develop into an NFL outside linebacker who can take the pounding against big linemen and backs. His pass-rush skills are what have provided him with an NFL opportunity, even though he has shown himself relatively well-developed in his all-around game. He comes in more mentally prepared to play outside linebacker than most, but will likely have to show something on special teams to stick around and show that. Despite being undrafted, if he can stay healthy and get some game opportunities to show what he can provide, there is no reason to believe he will be anything less than a competent NFL player.
Fantasy Football Rating: Ejiro Ederaine makes a lot of plays in the backfield.
Typecast Outlook Opinion: Ejiro Ederaine is an all-around, productive, underweight prospect with plus pass rush skills at the NFL level. He'll need to stay healthy and put on weight without losing a step to make it in the NFL.
