Development: Evan Spencer's best shot at the roster are his special teams skills. He has good size and speed, and isn't afraid to use them to make a big tackle. In fact, with his skillset, he might have been better served by a primary position on defense. He has a long way to go to develop as an NFL receiver and his only chance would be to latch on as a special teams captain somewhere for several years. He's the kind of guy you really root for, but his long-term chances may be better as a coach or front office guy, which happens to be his family heritage.

Typecast Outlook Opinion: Evan Spencer is the type of team leader you need, but he doesn't come with much more than special teams athleticism.
