Anquan Boldin

Arizona Cardinals

WR

54

Florida State

Strength: Anquan Boldin is big and athletic, though not especially tall. Anquan Boldin uses his body well and achieved success against good corners. Anquan Boldin runs through the arm tackles of CBs and Safeties after the catch.
Weakness: Anquan Boldin doesn't have break away speed. Anquan Boldin has an ACL injury in his history. Anquan Boldin doesn't have a lot of experience at receiver and it shows in his technique.
Development: When Arizona drafted Anquan Boldin it was evident they were looking for a David Boston type. The resemblence is great. Anquan Boldin has always been successful, so who's to say he can't do it in the pros? Well, scouts start talking about his speed numbers when I ask that. Bottom line is that Anquan Boldin is a great natural athlete who has done it against good competition. If Anquan Boldin wants to be a good pro though, he'll have to work real hard on technique. Anquan Boldin will have a shot, along with 5 other young receivers, at winning a starting job for Arizona this year.
Fantasy Football Rating: Could be huge in a few years. Big gamble at this point.
Typecast Outlook Opinion: 40% chance of success. 20% chance of Pro Bowl.

Next Player: Bryan Scott's scouting report.
