Tully Banta-Cain | |||
New England Patriots | DE | 239 | California |
Strength: Tully Banta-Cain is a quick pass-rushing defensive end. Tully Banta-Cain is good against the run when it goes away from him.
Weakness: Tully Banta-Cain is undersized for the defensive end position. Tully Banta-Cain tends to get mauled when the run goes at him.
Development: Tully Banta-Cain has the speed to play LB and New England may attempt to move him there because of his size. Tully Banta-Cain has shown excellent ability as a pass rushing end and could find playing time there immediately on passing downs, or even at blitzing LB in passing downs. Tully Banta-Cain is not as bad against the run as some think, but probably will never be an every down end. Tully Banta-Cain will take a few years to develop if he is moved to LB, but he may be better suited for the position. Tully Banta-Cain probably has the intelligence, instincts, and tools to be a MLB, but it would take him a long time to master the position.
Fantasy Football Rating: No impact.
Prospect Type: Ready-to-go. Tweener. Special Skill - Pass Rush.
