Strength: Bryant McNeal has good intelligence and well developed technique at the defensive end position. Bryant McNeal has excellent speed, strength, and athleticism.
Weakness: Bryant McNeal is far too light for DE in non-pass rush situations. Bryant McNeal didn't get as many sacks as you expect from a guy playing DE at his size.
Development: Bryant McNeal is a good athlete, but unless he puts on size he'll have to be used in only pass rush situations or in a defense that uses him for upfield penetration only. Bryant McNeal definitely has the size and athleticism to play linebacker and could step right in as a pass rush linebacker. But as far as being a complete linebacker, Bryant McNeal would be starting from the beginning and would take years to develop into the position, if he developed into the position. Bryant McNeal should be a special teams starter right away.
Fantasy Football Rating: No immediate impact.
Prospect Type: Tweener.
